Amazing people work at Sports for Schools.

Let us introduce you to a few of them…

Michael Ledzion cycling

Michael (Director)

Michael has spent most of his career as a hi-tech entrepreneur. He quit those globe trotting roles to focus on businesses that help others to lead more adventurous and healthy lives.

In 2009 Michael set up Go Wild (then Go Ape) in Australia, before returning to take on the running of Sports for Schools. He has since co-founded Clubs for Schools with fellow Cambridge University Engineering student Matthew Wells, an exciting new hub for clubs that connects forward thinking schools to great coaches and club leaders.

He is a school governor, occasional executive coach and speaker at conferences on the subject of how physical activity builds the brain to achieve better academic results.

Francesca (General Manager)

Francesca has always been interested in Sport and enjoys going to the gym, running and playing tennis.

Francesca is currently training for the London Marathon 2019.

Francesca's motto's are: "Don't put off till tomorrow what can be done today" and "there's only one way to eat a dinosaur!"

Natalie (Events Team)

Natalie has a keen interest in Football and has recently signed for Ipswich Town Ladies FC. She also represents England and Team UK at the new and upcoming sport...Footgolf!

Natalie hopes that one day FootGolf will become an Olympic sport where she can continue to play at the highest level.

In her spare time, Natalie likes to read and go for leisurely walks/bike rides.

Natalie's Motto:

Sami Kourbaj (Events Team)

Sami is currently working temporarily for Sports for Schools as he is on his gap year. He is looking for experience within the sports marketing industry before going to University,

Did you know? Sami is fluent in Spanish and is half Syrian and half Argentinian.

Maria Cooper (Events Team)

Maria joined the team in September. She has worked as a Parents Support Adviser and has experience working with children with autism.

When living in Cornwall, she used to participate in the Eden Project park run and beach yoga. Maria also loves reading!

Maria's Motto:
"In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

Kate Brown (Team Leader)

Kate joined the team as a Team Leader in September 2018 after 20 years in retail. Kate is captain of Bishop's Stortford regional netball team and also plays rounders and football.

Kate has a degree in Archaelogy and Ancient History and is passionate about learning about different countries and their cultures.

Kate loves travelling and has visited over 50 countries including Nepal, India and lived in Italy for a year!

Jordan Carter (Events Team)

Jordan joined the team in July and is a very keen sportsman who enjoys football and going to the gym. Jordan graduated from University of East Anglia in 2016 in Business Management.

Jordan also loves travelling and wants to go to Australia, California, Croatia and Amsterdam in the next couple of years!

Jordan has been to lots of sporting events including London 2012 Olympics, World Darts Championships, football matches abroad and even WWE!
