Day 1
Day 2
What Happens Next?
Every school we attend to run an event comprises of 2 individual visits.
The first visit is an Introductory Assembly which will last approximately 20 minutes, this is usually done two weeks before we run the event and involves a talk with the children and teachers explaining to them the format of the day. This is in aim to inspire and motivate the children prior to the event. There will also be an opportunity for anyone to ask the team any questions. It is at this assembly we will give out the sponsorship forms to the teachers to distribute to the children at a convenient time.
The second visit to your school will be the Event. This will either be in the morning or after lunch depending on your preference and size of your school. The entire event will last a maximum of two and a half hours. The event will require a constant flow of children filtering through the sports hall. Class by class the children will participate in four different fitness exercises in which they will perform as many repetitions as they can at each station for 1 minute. Although this may sound like chaos, it really is not, we promise!!!
After all children have been put through their paces, they will get changed and gather for an assembly with your very own Sports for Schools star guest. The athlete will go on to talk about their very own experiences in their sport, give a display to the children and hold a Q & A session which will last for 30 minutes.
