Let us introduce you to a few of them…

Michael Ledzion cycling

Michael (Director)

Michael has spent most of his career as a hi-tech entrepreneur. He quit those globe trotting roles to focus on businesses that help others to lead more adventurous and healthy lives.

Most recently Michael set up Go Wild (then Go Ape) in Australia, before returning to take on the running of Sports for Schools. Michael is also a school governor and occasional executive coach.

Nicola (Operations Manager)

From a young age Nicola's main interest has been Dance - something she still loves to do now whenever she gets the chance!

Nicola started long distance running in 2014 and has entered races in order to raise money for various charities. Doing this inspired her to get more involved in charity work and she is now part of the Macmillan Action Team.

In her spare time Nicola loves going to the gym and cooking up healthy recipes in her kitchen and sharing them on social media.

Nicola's proudest achievement to date is completing the London Marathon in 2016 as part of the official Macmillan Charity Team.

Mark (Events Administrator)

Mark is a massive fan of boxing and mixed martial arts and he once competed for England in the under 18 kickboxing championships.

Mark loves working at Sports for Schools as he truly believes in inspiring children to do the best that they can in every aspect of life and he thinks that Olympic athletes are the perfect role models to promote this.

Mark's top tip: "Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent".

Kate (Events Administrator)

Kate has always been very active and outdoorsy. Kayaking, mountaineering, cycling, sailing, skiing and scuba diving are some of her hobbies. Kate started scuba diving at 12 years old and is now a Qualified Dive Master and Tec diver.

She loves the outdoors and animals and loves living in the countryside. 2 years ago Kate took up training in MMA and is taking up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu this year.

Kate’s favourite achievement was completing the Manchester 55mile Bogle charity walk on her own in 18.5 hours. She came 21st out of over 360 walkers

Rose Wood event administrator

Rose (Event Administrator)

Rose is truly multi-talented: she has been a dancer, trapeze artist, worked in offices and been a night shift care home worker. Phew!

She is passionate about the environment and how better to educate the next generation. As well as bringing up her two young children, Rose is almost self-sufficient in vegetables over the summer.

Francesca (Business Development and Marketing Manager)

Francesca has always been interested in Sport and enjoys going to the gym, running and playing tennis.

Francesca loves a challenge and is currently trying to get a personal best for her half marathon distance.

Francesca's motto's are: "Don't put off till tomorrow what can be done today" and "there's only one way to eat a dinosaur!"

Callum Kearns clubs and coaching coordinator

Callum (Clubs & Coaching Manager)

Callum's favourite sport is Football and he is an avid Arsenal fan. Callum achieved his dream of signing as a professional footballer when he was 17. He loved having the opportunity to play against world-class players and meeting lots of exciting people.

Callum is a keen sportsman also enjoys going to the gym and horse racing. He aims to have his own race horse by the time he is 30!

Outside of sport, Callum plays the acoustic guitar and is a proud plane spotter (mainly commercial aircraft) - although we still don't know whether to believe him on that one or not!

Callum's motto: "Make no enemies, be upbeat and don't be afraid to make mistakes! Anything in moderation."
